Intermediate / Senior Accountant

Abacus Chartered Accountants are looking for an experienced intermediate / senior accountant to join our team and work with a wide range of farming and commercial business clients.

The role will include:

•        Preparation of annual and management financial statements

•        Preparation of GST and taxation returns

•        Client advisory work and assignments including cashflow budgets and forecasts

•        Assisting clients with setting up and operating Xero

•        Providing ongoing client Xero support

You should have:

•        Previous experience working in a Chartered Accountants office

•        A positive attitude and excellent communication skills

•        Proficiency in the use of Xero and MS Office applications

•        Confidence to build effective relationships with the team and clients

•        A high level of accuracy and attention to detail

•        Professional certification preferred

This is a full time position, however part time applications will also be considered. Remuneration will be based on the candidate’s prior experience and ability.
